Trust and safety
Yes, Orchid House Cleaning is insured and bonded. We believe it’s a privilege to be in your home. We will be careful and respectful of your things. In the unfortunate event that an object is damaged, please notify us within 24 hours.
We love animals, but they don’t always love us. If you think your pet may become overly anxious while we are there, please make temporary arrangements while we are in your home. Or you can leave detailed pet instructions during the online scheduling process.
All of our cleaners are trained to use products that are safe for all surfaces, including stainless steel, tiles, glass, wood, and more.
General
We provide all cleaning products and supplies. If you prefer or require us to use green products, you must provide them. However, please note that if the area you need cleaned is pretty dirty, green products may not give the results you expect since they are not as effective as regular cleaning agents.
Make sure to register your apartment as a studio and make a note under “Special Instructions” that you only want common areas cleaned. You’ll be charged a reduced rate.
We usually do not work by time, our estimates typically allow for plenty of time to complete a cleaning. That said, you know your home best and if you’re convinced our estimates are not correct, we encourage you to add more time manually with a brief explanation in the instructions. Alternatively, you can always schedule a second cleaning if the first turns out not to be enough. However, if we find that the place does not appear to be in the condition expressed in the contract, and it takes us longer to clean, we may charge an extra fee.
You don’t have to be at home for your cleaning as long as your cleaner has proper directions for entering and exiting your home. Please add clear instructions when booking your appointment.
That’s okay! Just leave us detailed instructions on how to enter your home when you schedule your appointment online. Your home will be locked and left in pristine conditions when the cleaner leaves.
If you are not satisfied with our cleaning, please contact us within 24 hours and our team will fix anything missed at no extra cost.

We can clean during both. Our staff is able to clean night or day, depending on your preference. Many customers give our cleaners a key for after-hours cleaning, so we can clean without disrupting your work. Our staff are insured and bonded and Orchid House Cleaning will coordinate all necessary documentation with your building manager.
Yes, all of our cleaners come equipped with cleaning supplies & equipment to bring on-site. If you select an ongoing service, we also provide heavy equipment such as vacuums, mops, dry mops, and squeegees.

Yes, customers who sign up for a subscription receive great discounts:

Yes, special instructions can be left for the cleaning professional when you schedule your appointment online. After the job is complete, you can rate your Orchid House Cleaning experience on Yelp or via email with any specific instructions you would like made on your next service.
Our cleaners bring a travel wet/dry mop that can be used on non-carpeted floors. If you do not have a vacuum, our cleaners will bring one to properly clean carpeted floors.

Yes, the basic flat rate is $70. The price may differ based on the size of the room.
Billing
We accept most major credit cards and debit cards: VISA, MasterCard, AMEX, Discover, PayPal, Venmo and cash. Unfortunately, we no longer accept checks.

You are free to cancel your service at any time, however, we have a $50 SAME-DAY CANCELLATION FEE which is charged if you cancel after 5 pm prior to your scheduled appointment.
Tips are not required but are certainly appreciated by our cleaners.
