  • TRUST AND SAFETY

    ARE YOU INSURED AND BONDED?

    Yes, Orchid House Cleaning is insured and bonded. We understand that it is a privilege to be in your home, and we are always careful. In the unfortunate event that an object is damaged, please notify us within 24 hours.

    IS ORCHID HOUSE CLEANING PET SAFE?

    We love animals, but they don’t always love us. If you think your pet may become overly anxious while we are there, please make temporary arrangements while we are in your home. You can leave detailed pet instructions during the online scheduling process.

    DOES ORCHID HOUSE CLEANING USE PRODUCTS THAT ARE SAFE FOR ALL SURFACES?

    All of our cleaners and maids are trained to use products that are safe for all surfaces, including: stainless steel, tiles, glass, wood, etc.

  • GENERAL

    DO ORCHID HOUSE CLEANING CLEANERS (NOT MAIDS) BRING ALL NECESSARY GREEN CLEANING SUPPLIES?

    We provide all cleaning products and supplies, if you want or require green products the client must provide it and the maids will use them, but if your house is pretty dirty, green products will not give the results that you expect because those products do not deep clean like regular products.

    WHAT IF I ONLY WANT COMMON AREAS CLEANED?

    Make sure to register your apartment as a studio and make a note under «Special Instructions» that you only want common areas cleaned. You’ll be charged a reduced rate.

    WHAT IF MY HOME NEEDS MORE TIME?

    We usually do not work by time, our estimates typically allow for plenty of time to complete a cleaning. That said, you know your home best and if you’re convinced our estimates are not correct, we encourage you to add more time on manually with a brief explanation in the instructions. Alternatively, you can always simply schedule a second cleaning if the first turns out to not be enough. But, if the place isn’t in the right conditions as the client exposed when hired the service, we would charge an extra.

    DO I HAVE TO BE AT HOME WHILE YOU CLEAN?

    You do not have to be at home for your cleaning as long as your cleaner has proper directions for entering and exiting your home. Please input these instructions when booking your appointment.

    WHAT IF I’M NOT THERE TO LET THE CLEANING PERSON IN?

    That’s okay! Just leave us detailed entry instructions when you schedule your appointment online so we know how to gain access to your home. Your home will be locked when the cleaner leaves.

    WHAT DOES 100% GUARANTEE MEAN?

    If you are not satisfied with you cleaning, please contact us within 24 hours and our team will fix anything missed at no cost.

    HOW DO I GET A FREE OFFICE CLEANING QUOTE?

    DO YOU CLEAN DURING OR AFTER BUSINESS HOURS?

    We clean during both. Our staff is able to clean night and day, depending on your preference. Many customers give our cleaners a key for after-hours cleaning, so we can clean without disrupting your work. Our staff are insured and bonded and Orchid House Cleaning will coordinate all necessary documentation with your building manager.

    DOES OHC BRING ITS OWN SUPPLIES AND EQUIPMENT?

    Yes, all of our cleaners come equipped with a kit full of cleaning supplies & equipment to bring on site. If you select ongoing service, we also provide heavy equipment such as vacuums, mops, dry mops, and squeegees.

    WHAT IF I JUST HAD A RENOVATION WORK DONE?

    We provide a customized post-construction clean for these types of situations. Please contact us at (347)260-4723 or email contact@orchidhousecleaning.com to coordinate this and receive pricing information.

    DO I GET A DISCOUNT IF I’M A FREQUENT CUSTOMER?

    Yes, customers who sign up for a subscription are entitled to significant discounts.
    • Weekly service we have a 20% discount,
    • Biweekly service we have a 15% discount,
    • Monthly service every four weeks gets a 10% discount.

    CAN I GIVE SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS TO THE CLEANERS AND ASK FOR SPECIAL REQUEST?

    Yes, special instructions can be left for the cleaning professional when you schedule your appointment online. After the clean is complete, you can rate your Orchid House Cleaning experience on Yelp or by email and update your special instructions if you want something cleaned differently.

    WHAT IF I DON’T HAVE A MOP, BUCKET, OR VACUUM?

    Our cleaners bring a travel wet/dry mop that can be used on non-carpeted floors. If you do not have a vacuum, the cleaner will bring it to properly clean the carpeted floors.

    DO YOU CLEAN OFFICES AND OTHER COMMERCIAL SPACES?

    Yes, OHC can handle any job no matter how big or small. We have special equipment and cleaners for these jobs, we only need the quantity of feet square of the place to give a quote.     DO YOU CLEAN BASEMENTS AND ATTICS?

    Yes, the basic flat rate of it is $70. In some cases, the price depends on the big or small of room.

    WHAT METHOD OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?

    We accept most major credit cards and debit cards: VISA, MasterCard, AMEX, Discover, PayPal, Venmo and cash. Unfortunately, we no longer accept check.

    WHEN DOES MY CARD GET CHARGED?

    The cleaning day, when the service is done.

    HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

    Orchid House Cleaning pricing is based on the size of your home, quantities of bedrooms and bathrooms also the desired level of service which means any extra service.     WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

    You are free to cancel your service at any time, however, we have a $40 SAME DAY CANCELLATION FEE which is charged if you cancel after 5pm on the evening prior to your scheduled appointment.

    DO I HAVE TO LEAVE A TIP?

    Tips are not required but are certainly appreciated by our cleaners.
